Labor Studies Field Placements

Labor Studies students can enrich their school experience by participating in a Labor Studies field placement. Labor Resource Center staff work with each interested student to find a placement that best suits her/his interests and needs. Field placements are a great way to learn more about the labor movement while meeting competency requirements, and (sometimes) even earning money!

If you are interested in doing a field placement with a labor or worker organization, please contact Anneta Argyres (617-287-7229) at the Labor Resource Center.

Examples of some field placement opportunities:

  • Working on employer research for construction trades
  • Helping to teach health care workers English, writing, and computer skills
  • Organizing community support for workers' causes
  • Getting first hand experience of union organizing drives
  •
