Marian
Spencer has been teaching undergraduate courses in gerontology
at CPCS since 1991. Prior to joining the college, she was an Associate
Professor, Emeritus, Boston
University
. She
is a professional nurse with an extensive background in administration
and teaching, gerontology and community service related work.
Marian is also the President of the Council of Elders and Forward
Inc., which facilitates planning and development of supportive
housing for low and middle-income elders. She is also a Board
Member on Boston Aging Concerns; Massachusetts Association of
Older Americans; Mt. Pleasant Home (Assisted Living) in Jamaica
Plain; the Mass Mental Health Advisory Board; and Massachusetts
Peer Review Organization.
