Class Materials
Copies
(non-copyright):
There
is a copy machine on the 4th floor outside the Faculty Support
Office. This can be used for small amounts of copying. Large amounts
of copying should be done at the Wheatley Copy Center on the first
floor. Ask Andrea Wight in Faculty Support for the access number
to the copy machine on the 4th floor and/or an account number
for the Copy Center on the 1st floor. The staff in Faculty Support
will make an effort to make copies for you when given advance
notice. There is a form to fill out, and a drop off basket in
that office.
Copyright
Materials:
The
Fair Use policy allows you to obtain multiple copies of copyright
materials for classroom use from the Wheatley Copy Center if you
meet the following criteria:
- Have not
copied from the book before under fair use
- Item was
not part of your original curriculum plans
- The excerpt
does not constitute more than 10% of the total work
- You make
only enough copies for students currently enrolled
- Students
will not be charged for the handout
- Copyright
statement (source, author year, publisher) is prominently displayed
- Do not
rely on Fair Use for your planned course handouts or readings
but rather use it for unforeseen articles or readings for your
class.
There
is a Fair Use form to fill out, and it needs to be filled out
thoroughly, so please take the time to fill out all the required
information before leaving your materials to be copied.
