A
Guide to the CPCS Student On Line Systems
CPCS
students use two applications for Student Self Service:
- CPCS
Application (for registration)
- WISER
Application (not for registration)
CPCS
Application (download
the instructions in Adobe Acrobat) or use the links below
CPCS
undergraduate students should use the CPCS system to:
create and maintain your electronic
learning plan;
register for
and add/drop CPCS competencies and classes;
retrieve
your narrative competency evaluations;
select
the competency evaluations you want to appear on you transcript.
WISER
Application
CPCS
students will use the WISER Student Self Service application to:
view their class schedules
request official transcripts
view advising (unofficial transcript)
request enrollment verification
apply for graduation
access billing/financial aid information.
The
instructions that are linked within this webpage provide information
on accessing and using the CPCS Applications. Instructional brochures
for the WISER Self Services application are available on the student
menu in WISER and in the CPCS Office of Student Services.
Both
systems will require students to use their new USER ID and password.
In preparation for full activation of the system, it is recommended
that all CPCS students start the process by logging into the WISER
system and setting up their new passwords.
Log-on
instructions for WISER & setting up a new password
- Navigate
to http://wiser.umb.edu
- Click on
Student Self Service
- The PeopleSoft
8 sign in page opens
- Enter your
User ID and Password
Students
should have received a letter with your USER ID and instructions
about your temporary password.
If
you don't know your USER ID, you may go to:
https://www.umassadmin.net/isis/id_lookup/
Your
"initial" password is the first two letters of your last name
(capitalize the first letter only) followed by your birth date
in MMDDYYYY format. For example, if John Smith were born on January
12, 1976, his password would be Sm01121976.
The system will force you to change your password right away.
You will see a message that your password has expired. Follow
the instructions, and be sure to answer the questions. Note: CPCS students should not choose more than eight characters and remember to start with a Capital and use a Number or Symbol at the end. If you find you need assistance in updating your
ELP or with registration, please contact the CPCS Office of Student
Services (617) 287-7120.
