Community
Studies Concentration
The Community Studies concentration is intended to help students
deepen their understanding and working knowledge of a wide range
of communities—social as well as geographical—in order
to apply that knowledge in a variety of settings and contexts.
This concentration will appeal to students who want to stretch
and deepen their understanding of, and involvement with, a variety
of geographic communities at the local, national, and international
level, as well as the non-spatial communities formed out of collective
identities and experiences.
