Planning
Concentration
The
ability to identify the needs and resources of communities, to
work collaboratively with them to establish goals and strategies
for achieving goals, and to assess the success of these initiatives
are critical skills for public and community practitioners in
a wide range of roles. The Planning concentration is designed
to provide majors in other areas of public and community service
with the foundational skills and knowledge they need to incorporate
effective participatory planning skills into their practice.
