Innovative
Learning
An
inter-disciplinary program, Labor Studies relates history, economics,
law, and analysis of society, politics, and culture to the issues
that affect workers and their organizations. The program teaches
a variety of subjects, from applied research to public advocacy,
from negotiation to globalization. Students participate in an
adult-oriented, self-paced curriculum that allows flexible learning
options and may apply relevant life and work experience. They
also have opportunities to conduct collaborative projects, apply
theories to practice in a range of community settings, and reflect
on their experience in an environment that encourages critical
engagement.
