Requirements
The
curriculum is designed to be flexible and give students choice
in structuring their studies to meet their needs and interests.
By linking the Legal Education major with one of the CPCS concentrations,
students can tailor their major to a particular area of law or
advocacy. Likewise, students majoring in other programs at the
College often select the Legal Education concentration to help
them develop advocacy skills that will complement their work in
areas such as human services, gerontology or labor.
Students
who select Legal Education must complete:
- Concepts
of Justice
- Legal
Advocacy
- Legal
Reasoning and Argument
- Legal
Studies I and II
-
Advanced Legal Advocacy
Students
in other majors who select the Legal Education concentration must
complete:
- Concepts
of Justice or Legal Studies I
- Legal
Advocacy
- Legal
Reasoning & Argument
- Advanced
Legal Advocacy
Like
all programs at CPCS, the Legal Education programs provide students
with many exciting learning options, including community-based
learning projects, internships, and small, interactive classroom
experiences.
