(CIRCLE students introduce themselves in their native languages.)
Ria Kulenovic: Ever since I joined CIRCLE program I feel the program helped me enhance my leadership skills. Today I am using those skills to bring positive change to my community.
Faduma Maow: I'm empowering other peoples' lives and looking forward to improve my life, myself -- to be a stronger leader in my community.
Fritz Saint Louis: Today I am very confident to go back to my community to try to change things that my community [is] challenged [by].
Marie-Banatte Simon: In the classroom I see so many immigrants [who] don't speak English as me, so I'm not afraid to ask questions or to speak because I'm not the only one who came from another country.
Lamos Paul: And this program has made a huge difference in my personal development and my leader[ship] contribution I can bring to this community.
Agnes Nansubuga: CIRCLE is a program that really made a tremendous positive impact on my development as a learner; not only did it empower me and inspire me [to have] the confidence that I can learn but enabled me to learn with different students from other parts of the world.
Alfred Pierre Noel: With CPCS I got a better understanding of not only my career but also a better understanding of the immigrant population in the US.
Deeguo Jibril: Before I became CIRCLE I was less community-involved. Right now I am parent council for my daughter's school, [and] I became a student council here at CPCS.
Faustin Kalombo: The best thing about this program is that we have students all over the world who learn from one another.
Beverly Kerr: Because of CIRCLE I have been empowered to advocate for positive changes in my community, and I'm also happy to be a peer advisor where I tutor students here at CPCS.
