My name is Jamie Lee Manning and I am a Community Planning and Non-profit Major here at CPCS. I've been here for the last three semesters, and before coming here I was very disillusioned with academia and wanted a change and found CPCS and knew that coming here I would be able to continue the work I was doing in communities.

But one of the things I really, really love about CPCS is that I'm learning how to become a critical thinker. I'm learning how to formulate my own ideas. I'm learning how to put them into practice and not only just in the theoretical sense but actually take it back into the community. And I love the classes where we are able to choose a community organization and go out and really bridge together what we are learning in the classroom with actually really accomplishing some of the greater needs in the Boston area.

I know that after my time here at CPCS I will continue to fight for social, political, and spiritual justice for all people for all backgrounds, and I'm so excited that I had the opportunity to come here. CPCS has changed my life, and I hope it will change yours, too.
